Dependable Strengths for Veterans

A Collaborative Project of CDS, CLC & WOIS

Dependable Strengths for Veterans is a special initiative of the Center for Dependable Strengths (CDS), in partnership with the Center for Learning Connections (CLC) and WOIS/The Career Information System (WOIS). Our aim is to provide Dependable Strengths workshops free-of-charge to veterans, in appreciation for their service to our country.

You can help by making a financial contribution to CDS designated for DS for Veterans. To donate online: Click Here

Mission
Our mission is to assist U.S. military veterans in making successful transitions from military to civilian life through the Dependable Strengths Articulation Process (DSAP). In addition to the many proven benefits of our strengths articulation training, we are working to provide a full complement of resources that will equip veterans with the means to develop and pursue clearly defined career plans toward productive and meaningful work.

The Need

  • Many veterans, upon returning to civilian life, struggle to find their place. Without a plan or a vision, they drift and have a difficult time making decisions that will lead them to a successful future.
  • Many veterans have a difficult time building on their service-related experiences to create a successful future. They may want to leave those experiences behind them rather than use them to move forward.
  • Many veterans have suffered physical injuries and emotional trauma during their military service. They may return to civilian life without an effective strategy for developing and maintaining healthy relationships.
